Collection: Drops

Lofty Pursuits, our store and candy factory, has on display a collection of restored hand-cranked candy making machines from the late 1800's. Drops are made by feeding the hand-kneaded hot sugar into these presses to produce a sheet of candy that is cooled and "dropped" into the various shapes and sizes into the sugar. This is why "Lemon Drops" or "Cough Drops" are called "drops". We have a selection of shapes we make of different flavors, and each shape has a different feel and texture in your mouth. The flavor will match the shape and texture and remind you sometimes they did do things better years ago.
